Why Chiropractic

With each adjustment your nerve system becomes better able to adapt, better able to heal, and better able to function in everyday tasks.

Remember that fall you took when you were 6 years old and you were just learning how to ride your bike?

On that particular day, your body accomplished quite a few things: It grasped the concept of balance, mastered the art of coordination and it managed to change the function of your nervous system.

Your life was changed forever in ways that you could never even imagine!

Your body is an amazing machine that, like an automobile, needs regular maintenance in order to operate at its peak performance.

It is imperative that your nerve system is well maintained, as it is the main communication system of your body. It is vital for the transmission of your innate wisdom.

If at any point it becomes overloaded with input, your circuits will crash, much like a computer system that crashes when information is fed in too quickly. Unlike the computer, however, our body's innate wisdom can adapt and change. Instead of your entire system shutting down, your body will compensate, localizing the damage and creating a subluxation - an interference pattern in the nerve system.

When you have subluxations your body is functioning at less than full power, similar to the effect caused by a dimmer switch.

One or two subluxations will most likely go unnoticed, unless they cause pain. As they start to accumulate, however, the effects become much greater. The body's ability to adapt, self-correct and recover from stress decreases.

Adjustments performed by a chiropractor give your system a chance. Just as subluxations accumulate bit-by-bit in your body, getting adjusted on a regular basis gradually and progressively releases those subluxations.
